"Whoa..." gasped the wide-eyed Keiko. "That guy sure has the guts to be THAT straight forward."

Aoko chuckled in response. WOW. She cannot deny that this guy was cool. Aoko watched both of them disappear out of the classroom. The rest of the guys that remained were groaning and the girls whining. Apparently, they were jealous of the pairing.

Just then Kaito entered the classroom, confused over the commotion.
"Ah~ Here comes your perverted boyfriend..."
"Keiko...!" Aoko glared at her friend with a tinge of redness in her cheeks.

"Yo! Aoko! What's going on?"
"Don't know? I think Hakuba has just asked to speak with Akako-chan alone... It seems like a confession and it made everyone's excited."
"Erm... Aoko-chan... I don't think excited is the RIGHT word to use..." Keiko added, glancing around the classroom full of unhappy chattering girls and boys.

Saguru walked back to classroom with an arrogant 'aren't you jealous' smile planted firmly on his face. Akako walked in behind him, her usual enigmatic cat grin worn with even more mystery than usual. Saguru tactfully ignored all the insults from the boys flying around- who cared about their opinion? Girls swarmed Akako, asking for details, details, details. Ah. What fun.

When Akako and Hakuba returned, chaos flooded the classroom. The guys were starting to talk louder than usual and the girls were flocking around Akako to ask what was going on.

"Aren't you curious to what happened?" Keiko nudged Aoko anxiously.

"Eh? Hmm... I suppose." Aoko raised her head a little, but she's not moving from her seat.
"Then... then shouldn't you go over and ask her?" asks the girl a little confused.
Aoko smiles in response, "I can always ask her later. Look~ Im sure she's busy enough."

"...Girls..." Kaito looked away slightly annoyed.

"Got a problem with that, Kaito?" Aoko and Keiko turned to Kaito who shrugged off the question.
It wasn't much of the matter, but, Aoko seemed to pay more attention to the little actions of her childhood friend. It could be unintentional, but it might be due to the influence of Hakuba's actions. Maybe deep down in her somewhere, she hoped that Kaito could be some guy like Hakuba, saying sweet words to her and making her happy, instead of teasing her and playing all sorts of perverted pranks on her.

Seeing the a little sour expression on Aoko, a smirk emerged on Kaito's face, "What's with that look? Ah! Could it be..." Kaito's smirk turned into a full face grin, "...you're jealous that no guy likes you?!"

"Bakaito........." Dark aura arose from Aoko.

Before you know it, the already-in-chaos classroom has yet again, suddenly turned into a battle field, with Aoko chasing Kaito with the all-time-favourite... MOP.

"What courage, tantei-san," commented Kaito as the blond settled into the seat in front of him. "Akako is quite a prized jewel you know. You'll be killed by angry adorers before the day's out."

"Doubt it," answered Saguru, seriously causing the jealous boys around him to consider Kaito's proposal of slaughter. "Honestly, they're much too cowardly to even ask a girl our, let alone kill me. And if they even try, I have a limo that takes me home, security guards around my house 24/7, a limousine escort to school, and so-on-so forth. And they'd be crushed in court." Saguru smiled sweetly. "My family started the escorts after a few random attacks in England."

"Would've saved us all a lot of trouble if those random attempts went well," muttered Kaito, wondering which color to dye the tantei's hair. Bright green, or a rosy pink? After all, what better time for such an embarrassment than the first date? Kaito grinned. Better idea. He was going to dye Saguru's hair rainbow!

The students settled down in the classroom when the school bell rang, indicating the end of the break. Akako settled down into her seat as well. Aoko threw a glance at Akako who seemed to be in good spirits.
"I should ask her about it later~" thought Aoko to herself.

After school at the shoe locker

"Hey Akako-chan!" Aoko called out to the girl.
"Aoko..."
"I heard Hakuba-kun asked you out? Is that true?" Aoko asked excitedly.
"Yea~" Akako replied proudly, "Looks like even a tantei from overseas can't resist my charm~ OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO~~~"
"That's great!" cheered Aoko, "where did he ask you to?"
"Heee~" Akako gave a grin while putting her finger to her lips, "Hi~Mi~Tsu~".
"Mou~" Aoko was a little disappointed.
"I'll tell you what happened after the date okay?" Akako winked again to Aoko. "Ah~ Looks like I have to leave now..." she seemed to sense something. "See ya!"

"Akako-chan! Wai-" Aoko tried to call out to her but she was already running out of the school gates. "What's with the hurry?" thought Aoko.

"Yo Aoko!" a familiar voice was calling out to her. Aoko turned to the voice. It was Kaito.
"Ah... Kaito."
"Managed to find out anything from the witch girl?" he asked casually.
"No... she's secretive about it~" Aoko replied, "...and don't call her witch girl, she has a pretty name you know..."
"Yea yea~ Akako I know~" said Kaito with a smile, "Now shall we go?"

Akako was delighted that she found her spell to be working on the British detective. She had always wondered why it didn't work on Kaito, and had come to the conclusion that maybe it was because he loved Aoko. The witch rolled her eyes, thinking about the two childhood friends.

But when she found out that it wasn't working on Hakuba, she was furious. Why hadn't it worked? The detective didn't love anyone... For Lucifer's sake, he flirted with every girl in the school!

Akako narrowed her red irises thinking about that fact. Well, after this date, she'd make sure that Hakuba would only dedicate his heart to one woman... The witch smirked thinking about it.

Gym class was a terrible thing. Normally, Saguru didn't mind the exercise, instead relishing the time he had to work out. He had to keep his beautiful body in perfect condition one way or another, right?

But today... Oh, today was a nightmare. Of course Kaito had decided to dye his hair NEON RAINBOW right when they started class! Saguru had throttled his fellow teen, trying to force the way of getting the unnatural color OUT of his hair from Kaitj's mouth, but the teen firmly held steady, saying it wouldn't wash out for a week.

"A WEEK?!?!?!?!" shouted Saguru furiously, fuming as a shock of red and blue hair fell into his eyes. "I have a date TONIGHT you idiot!"

"Why do you think I did it, genius?" Kaito smirked. What fun. Pissing off the blind that usually pissed everyone else off. "Aren't you the detective?"

"I swear, one day I will dump you into a tank of fish and watch you suffer, and laugh at you."

"What a threat," mocked Kaito, but he sounded frightened.

"Oh, and you know what? I think the aquarium's open all night today." Saguru smiled the evilest of grins. Kaito felt distinctly queasy.

Akako watched in amusement as the British detective threatened the magician. He was certainly an interesting boy...

The witch made a mental note that if this date turned out to be worthwhile, she'd change Hakuba's hair back to its former glory.
